Henderson Settlement Farm & GreenHouse

The Henderson Settlement was established in February 1925, and the farm followed soon after as a way to support children attending the settlement school. 

Now that the school is no longer active, the farm supports the Henderson Settlement community in other ways. 

From the beginning, HS Farm has focused on raising beef, but they only began selling to the community in 2019. It is beneficial to everyone in the area because they can provide high quality meat at a much cheaper cost. 

Henderson Settlement also has four large greenhouses which grow vegetables like cucumbers and tomatoes, and flowers. 

In the spring, these goods are sold to the community, schools, and churches. It also supplies the kitchens at Henderson Settlement.
