Clover Hilltop Farm

Clover Hilltop Farm is owned by Tim and Diane Vetters in Nicholasville. They grow and sell vegetables, herbs, and garden plant starters directly to customers. Since 2012, they’ve offered food shares (CSA) and they sell at the Nicholasville Farmers Market and Wilmore Farmers Market. In addition to all of the delicious produce, Clover Hilltop Farm has a Christmas tree work-share program. Instead of paying for your Christmas tree with money, you pay for it with labor! This different method has customers “adopt” two rows of Christmas trees during the summer months. They then weed, mow around, and occasionally water the trees. Come Christmastime, they get their choice of Christmas tree! This one-of-a-kind opportunity is a great way to get a “free” Christmas tree, while also helping out the farm.

Clover Hilltop Farm sits on one of the highest points of Jessamine County. Indians used to camp at this point, as evidenced by the numerous flint chunks found in our soil. Unlike most of the County, our farm has deep and rich soil. We have maintained and improved the soil through sustainable and no-till practices.

Carriage Lane Farm

John and Tammie Conatser are nothing if not horse lovers, especially the high-stepping Saddlebred variety. In Nicholasville, Ky, the Conatsers run Carriage Lane Farm, a breeding and training facility for SaddleBreds. At Carriage Lane you can learn to ride horses in private lessons or buy a saddlebred of your very own. The Conaster family and their horses have won high honors and many awards throughout the years, but their goal is not to win big. It is only to enjoy their horses and provide them with the best life possible.
