Rains and Sun Hilltop Farm

Steve and Anna Raines, along with their children, live on their vegetable farm, Rains and Sun Hilltop Farm, in Independence, Kentucky.

RSHF grows leafy green vegetables, tomatoes, squash, carrots, broccoli, and much much more.

The Raines grow for the local community, so it is important to them that the food be safe, fresh, and high quality.

They sell their produce through a CSA subscription program, which stands for Community Supported Agriculture, and at Farmers markets in Independence.

“Their mission is to grow the health of their community by growing super fresh, top quality produce for you and your family. They are committed to sustainable vegetable production that is free from chemical herbicides and pesticides and uses only natural sources of fertility. Steve and Anna believe this is just the best way to grow the healthiest and highest quality produce!” - Organic Association of Kentucky

The farm has grown a lot since it first started, so the Raines are looking for some extra help.  They will hire regular employees but they also offer Worker Share Positions, where you can agree to work on the farm for certain amounts of time and get paid in
