2019 in Review
We had a great 2019 thanks to continued support from our sponsors and partners. Below you will find a snapshot of our impact and how we were able to accomplish our goal of growing ag literacy across the Bluegrass!
Impact
2,100 teachers receive newsletters on how to use resources they have received through Kentucky Farm Bureau or the TeachKyAg Sponsor a Classroom programming.
515 teachers participated in one of 12 workshops provided across the state.
It is estimated that participating teachers are able to share these new lessons and resources with more than 100,000 students annually.
$39,770 in resources were distributed to K-12 teachers.
75 agribusiness professionals and educators participated in 3 Engage Kentucky workshops held last spring. $5,750 in resources were distributed.
26 Engage Kentucky presentations were provided by 5 interns and staff at schools, events, and teacher PDs.
$10,625 in scholarships were provided to agriculture education students through the Engage Kentucky program.
35,000 students at 131 schools participated in STEM-based, hands-on learning activities through our Feeding Kentucky: A STEM Adventure program and the KDA Mobile Science Activity Centers.
$11,300 in resources were purchased by volunteer educators through the Agriculture Literacy Network.
