Meet Our Board Members: Jennifer Burgan
"Follow your passion and never give up."
Jennifer Burgan is the newest board member of the Kentucky Agriculture and Environment in the Classroom. She is an Environmental Sciences Teacher at Harrison County High School and has been a teacher for 22 years. Before becoming an instructor, she served agriculture as a 4-H/Youth Extension agent for three years. Jennifer grew up on a farm and was very active in 4-H as she got older, making her more passionate about agriculture.
Jennifer studied Agronomy and Natural Resources at Eastern Kentucky University and obtained her master's degree from the same college. Currently, she teaches high school students about human impact on the environment. She says her favorite part of the job is fostering that understanding in younger generations.
" I have had some of the most amazing experiences that have helped me grow in this career. I love being able to share my knowledge of agriculture and the environment in the classroom."
