Bradley Racing Stable

William “Buff” Bradley started working on his family's horse farm - Indian Ridge Farm - at the age of ten. He left in 1989 and got his trainers license in 1993. Soon after, he had his first horse win a race. He is now the owner of Bradley Racing Stable in Frankfort, Ky, where he breeds and trains prized racing horses.

His horses compete mainly at Churchill Downs, Kentucky’s most prestigious race track, but he has also had horses run in Indiana and other tracks around Kentucky. Some of Buff’s winning horses have sold for millions of dollars, but he still works every day at his stable and in the community, doing things like volunteering as a 4-H Horse Club leader.

Bluegrass Meadows Beef

Bluegrass Meadows Beef is one major part of Mefford Family Farms Inc, which has been in business for five generations. Bluegrass Meadows Beef is in Peaks Mill, Kentucky, and specializes in raising Belgian Blue beef cattle. These cows are known for producing lean cuts of meat with lots of flavor, which are sold to restaurants, health food stores, and catering businesses. Bluegrass Meadows also sells their products at farmers markets. Because of the unique breed of cattle they raise and the grazing methods used to do so (Belgian Blues eating Bluegrass!), BMB will sell some of their cattle to other farms.
